Dr. Cristina Meffe, ND - Licensed Naturopathic Doctor

After completing her Bachelor of Physical Education and Health at the University of Toronto, Dr. Meffe went on to study at the Canadian College of Naturopathic Medicine (CCNM) in Toronto. In addition to mastering the traditional naturopathic treatment modalities, Dr. Meffe gained advanced clinical experience and instruction in pain management, trigger point release therapy and sports medicine. She has also received homeopathic training through an intensive rotation at CCNM and various seminars with some of the top homeopaths in the world. Dr. Meffe has participated in a research initiative in women's health, and has completed Reiki Level 2. She has also been certified in intravenous therapy and will be receiving her cosmetic acupuncture certification shortly. As well, Dr. Meffe has worked with HIV positive patients at the Sherbourne Health Centre. Dr. Meffe graduated top of her class for clinical experience, and received the prestigious Joyce Vanderburgh Scholarship for outstanding clinical performance and patient interaction.

In addition to working with patients, Dr. Meffe is working at CCNM as a teaching assistant in the homeopathy department. She is fluent in written and spoken Italian and Spanish, and has a working knowledge of French. Dr. Meffe believes in approaching each patient as an individual, encouraging balance of the physical, emotional and spiritual, and empowering each patient to achieve their optimal health.
